What We Do

CCI Actions

Facilitating and assisting in the delivery of city centre improvements in conjunction with our key partners Derry City Council and DSD;

Involvement in key projects: may originate from various sources and likely to involve multiple partners;

Influencing the development of existing and new services: CCI will co-ordinate and contribute to the improved delivery of existing services and generation of new services;

Delivering direct and indirect city centre services: CCI will continue to deliver its own services, which add value to the city centre, e.g. Radiolink Scheme, CCTV;

Direct liaison with city centre businesses: CCI will provide strong communication links between Council and central and local government, e.g. through meetings, conferences, representation etc.

The CCI Board is made up of senior representatives from Derry City Council, the Department for Social Development, Ilex and other private-sector companies.

CCI is funded by these private and public-sector partnerships on an annual basis to deliver practical projects which directly address issues affecting the city centre. Our projects are designed around a clean, safe and friendly agenda which contributes to the environment and community safety and markets the city in ways which improve or sustain the business performance. Our Projects enable us to become closely involved in partnerships to resolve issues which directly affect your business. We are on the ground, in your business and helping shape future development.

The main customer of the CCI company is the business sector, specifically city centre retail. However, for a town centre to flourish, all elements of the community need to be considered and CCI will endeavour to work with business, community and social economy enterprises as well as involving schools, churches and the population within the community as a whole.

CCI will have a direct impact and influence over a number of these key priorities. In other cases, where there is no opportunity for direct involvement, CCI will work with and support the relevant statutory, community and private-sector bodies.

CCI has been set employment and investment targets through its relationship with the Department for Social Development and Derry City Council as funding partners. In addition, the Board of CCI has set specific measurable performance targets which we believe are challenging but achievable.
