TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE A2 STRAND ROAD, DERRY Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th January 2010

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on A2 Strand Road shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate the installation of scaffolding.

The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles, from using Strand Road from its junction with Boating Club Lane to Asylum Road from 08:00 on Saturday 9^th January to 21:00 on Sunday 10^th January 2010.

Diversionary Routes will be signposted via Lower Clarendon Street, Queens Quay and via Lawrence Hill, Northland Road and Clarendon Street. Access will be maintained for premises only.

Lundy’s Day Parade 5th December 2009

Please see below the arrangements for Lundy’s Day, Saturday 5th December 2009.

The parade will form in Duke Street at 11.30a.m

The March will proceed over Craigavon Bridge and up through the Fountain to the Memorial Hall

Proceeding down through the city centre then ending up at St Columb’s Cathedral for service at 2.00p.m

At 3.15p.m march proceeds through the city centre again up towards Bishop Street to the Fountain for the burning of Lundy at 4.00p.m

After this the Apprentice Boys proceed through the Fountain back to the Waterside

TRADERS MEETING

A follow up Traders meeting is scheduled for 5.30p.m, Tuesday 10th November 2009 at the Tower Hotel. Representatives from Statutory Agencies will be in attendance and all City Centre users are welcome. A range of issues will be discussed in relation to the previous Traders meeting. These meetings are a partnership approach to the management of the City Centre.

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on Artillery Street shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate building repairs.

The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles, from using Artillery Street from its junction with Ferryquay Street to London Street from 07:00 until 17:30 on Wednesday 14th October 2009.

A Diversionary Route will be signposted via Ferryquay Street, Bishop Street and London Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained for premises only.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE C578 BUTCHER STREET @ BUTCHER GATE LONDONDERRY

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on the C578 Butcher Street shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate gas main installation.

The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles traveling along Butcher St towards Fahan Street through Butcher Gate and vice versa on Sunday 13th September between 7am and 6pm

Access to premises along this stretch of road will be maintained however only Pedestrian access will be maintained through the gate

A Diversionary Route will be signed via Ferryquay St, Carlisle Rd, Abercorn Rd and Lecky Road flyover.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE C578 BISHOP STREET @ BISHOPS GATE LONDONDERRY

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on the C578 Bishop Street shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate gas main installation.

The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles traveling along Bishop St Within to Bishop St without through Bishop Gate and vice versa on Sunday 6th September between 7am and 6pm

Access to premises along this stretch of road will be maintained however only Pedestrian access will be maintained through the gate

A Diversionary Route will be signed via Ferryquay St, Carlisle Rd, and Abercorn Rd.

Temporary Closure of Artillery Street, Derry

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on the Artillery Street shall be prohibited under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate the installation of a gas main.

The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles from using Artillery Street from its junction with Ferryquay Street to London Street on Monday 17th August 2009

Diversionary Route will be signed via Ferryquay Street, Bishop Street Within and London Street .

Access will be maintained for Pedestrians only.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE U1556 MARKET STREET LONDONDERRY

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on the U1556 Market Street shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate gas main installation.

The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles from using Market Street from its junction with Ferryquay Street to its junction with Newmarket Street on Tuesday 18th August and Wednesday 19th August 2009.

A Diversionary Route will be signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
