    Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on Artillery Street shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate building repairs.

    The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles, from using Artillery Street from its junction with Ferryquay Street to London Street from 07:00 until 17:30 on Wednesday 14th October 2009.

    A Diversionary Route will be signposted via Ferryquay Street, Bishop Street and London Street.

    Pedestrian access will be maintained for premises only.

  • TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE C578 BUTCHER STREET @ BUTCHER GATE LONDONDERRY

    The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles traveling along Butcher St towards Fahan Street through Butcher Gate and vice versa on Sunday 13th September between 7am and 6pm

    Access to premises along this stretch of road will be maintained however only Pedestrian access will be maintained through the gate

    A Diversionary Route will be signed via Ferryquay St, Carlisle Rd, Abercorn Rd and Lecky Road flyover.

    The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles from using Artillery Street from its junction with Ferryquay Street to London Street on Monday 17th August 2009

    Diversionary Route will be signed via Ferryquay Street, Bishop Street Within and London Street .

    Access will be maintained for Pedestrians only.

    The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles from using Market Street from its junction with Ferryquay Street to its junction with Newmarket Street on Tuesday 18th August and Wednesday 19th August 2009.

    A Diversionary Route will be signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

    Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development is satisfied that traffic on the C578 Carlisle Road shall be prohibited or restricted under Article 7(1) and (3) of The Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 to facilitate gas main installation.

    The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles, from traveling city bound along Carlisle Road from Carlisle Square Roundabout from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th August 2009 between 22:00 – 06:00.

    Traffic traveling along Carlisle Road towards Craigavon Bridge will be unaffected.

    A Diversionary Route will be signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

    The effect of this prohibition will be to exclude vehicles, from using Ferryquay Street from its junction with Orchard Street to Shipquay Street on Wednesday 5th August and Thursday 6th August 2009 from 21:30 – 06:00.

    A Diversionary Route will be signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

    The Tower Hotel was selected as one of the top hotels in the world and has earned itself a place on the Expedia Insiders Select List. It is the first hotel in the City to be honored with the accolade.

    The award winners were announced by Expedia after they asked American travellers to give feedback on hotels they stayed in over the past year.

    A spokesperson for Expedia commented: “Based on hundreds of thousands of hotel reviews submitted by our travellers, the Tower Hotel was identified as consistently delivering superior services, an exceptional guest experience and notable value for money”.

    Hotel manager Simon Hanna stated “We have been working hard to ensure that all our guests receive a true “Derry Welcome” and in these tough times for businesses. It is also a major success for our City, hopefully such an award will encourage more American visitors to come and visit and experience our great service levels alongside our history and retail sites.”

  • Lifetree Moves Premises

    Lifetree has moved premises from Spencer Road to 7 Gortfoyle Business Centre (Behind the old police station on Spencer Road) as of 1st June 2009.

    The new premises are located in an office environment therefore it is necessary for clients to call in advance to make an “appointment”. Since I will be offering a delivery service, phoning in advance will ensure that there is someone on the premises to help you. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

    Anne will be continuing her private practice from room 6 Gortfoyle Business Centre. The phone number is the same, and appointments should also be made in advance.

    Anne will be working reduced hours, they are a follows:

    Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

    10.30am to 5.00pm

  • Progress Report

    1.Mainline drainage has be laid from Whittaker Street/Shipquay Place to Northern counties including Custom House Street and Guildhall Street.

    2. Excavation works for the concrete slabs has commenced on Guildhall Street and Custom House Street. These streets are only for pedestrian traffic only. All shop access etc are accommodated for on these streets (Business as usual).

    3.Major works are due to commence in Shipquay Place/Guildhall Square in the next few weeks.
